Blossoms was started as a study to improve on photos taken the previous year; Pale colours not captured as accurately as they could have been, questionable framing and composure all left room for improvement

Photos were taken over the course of several months with careful observation of plants and trees for the best blooms. Increased frequency of photography sessions resulted in an improved eye for composition and framing. An obsession with colour and the lighting effect of golden sunsets on blooms led to a ‘time is of the essence’ approach and mentality.
